HistoryBookTales publishes independent buyer’s guides and articles about history books, historical fiction and narrative history. We welcome brands, manufacturers, publishers and their agencies who would like their books considered for coverage.
How we write about products and brands
- We compare products on documented facts: published specifications, features, warranty terms, compatibility and current pricing.
- Where we show Amazon prices, they are pulled from Amazon’s own data and shown with the date and time they were last updated.
- We describe differences as trade-offs and fit for different buyers. We do not publish put-downs of brands or products.
- We only describe hands-on use when it actually happened, and we say so clearly when it did.
Sending books for review
We’re happy to receive review copies, advance reader copies or author interviews. A few things to know first:
- Sending books does not guarantee coverage, a positive write-up, or a publication date.
- When a product was provided free of charge, the article says so.
- Review units are not returned unless we agree on that in writing before they ship.
- Coverage stays factual and specification-based, whether or not we received a sample.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell rankings, “best” placements or positive reviews.
- We don’t publish brand-written copy as our own editorial.
- Any paid collaboration we agree to is clearly labelled as sponsored.
Corrections and product updates
If something we’ve published about your product is out of date or inaccurate, tell us. We check corrections against official documentation and update the article when they’re confirmed.
